I have just finished my first attempt at crocheting a rag rug. I used old t shirts that were surplus to requirements. As it was really just a learning project I made a rug/bed for my dogs and was not bothered about matching colours. I was just learning the techniques required.
Now that I have the know how it is time to start a proper project and I have found just the thing I would like to make.
